About the Artists
🎺 Xhosa Cole – One of the UK’s most exciting young jazz musicians, Xhosa has already won multiple awards including BBC Young Jazz Musician of the Year. Known for his powerful tone and soulful improvisations, he has quickly established himself as a leading voice in the contemporary jazz scene.
💃 Liberty Styles (they/she) – A tap dancer and beatmaker from NYC, Liberty creates subversive worlds with rhythm, dance, and electronics. They’ve performed at the Apollo Theater, Joyce Theater, and American Repertory Theater, and have been featured in The New York Times, Jazzwise, and Billboard.
✨ Together – Liberty has toured the UK as a featured tap soloist with Xhosa Cole, and now they reunite in Den Haag to bring their powerful dialogue of horn + tap + rhythm to the World of Jazz Grand Opening.
