Event: https://facebook.com/events/s/ttdd-inclusivity-unconscious-b/1565412548062521/ Topical Tuesday Dancer Discussions (TTDD) is a meeting on the last Tuesday of the month for Lindy hop community building. We would like to create a space where we can talk about all the things you don’t get to learn during dance classes. Each month we will have a main subject as we work our way through the history of our dance, where we see the current scene, and what the future may bring. We will always take suggestions for topics to add to our growing list, and hope that these talks will help us get to know each other and our dance better. The topic for this month's TTDD will be Inclusivity, Unconscious Bias, and Community Collaboration! Let's talk about the practices and policies dance communities could be following in order to be sure people are equally involved and welcome in our space. No matter your level of dance, you will have the perfect insight into your own experiences and ideas. We will reflect on our personal stories and on the perspectives of others to help us grow. Please join us in examining inclusivity in dance spaces, thinking of ways to do outreach, and sharing our love of dance! We will also be starting our discussions by learning about the key icons of Lindy Hop! This week our Icon Spotlight will be the Nicholas Brothers, Fayard and Harold (that's right, I know a lot of you just watched Stormy Weather!). Please find a fact about the Nicholas Brothers if you can! Bring your questions, your knowledge, and your amazing Tuesday night energy. This will be a place where we can get to know one another better, not just through a three minute song, but through a conversation. Hope to see you on the final Tuesday of the month! -Kari
