This event is inspired by the original Harvest Moon Ball, which was a famous annual ballroom dance contest held at Madison Square Garden in New York City from 1935 to 1974, best known for promoting Lindy Hop and showcasing Black American artistry during the Swing Era. With the goal of playing great tunes for Lindy hop, Balboa and Blues the band promises great music, great tempos and great fun. Joining Brian (Trumpet and trombone) is Frank Talbot (tenor sax and clarinet) the swinging 4-piece rhythm section features Juliana Sian (piano), Doug Robertson (guitar), Georgie Nikolic (double bass) and Thomas Friggins (drums). This will be the bands debut gig! 🔥
