BDS 2025 will be centred around Dunsborough for an exciting shift to the north of the Margaret River region. BDS is held over the long weekend of September and accomodation books out quickly! Beyond teaching and social dancing, AJ is an avid competitor, earning placements at both local and international events. As an honored member of the California Swing Dance Hall of Fame, he is passionate about sharing the joy of Lindy Hop and helping dancers of all levels grow and flourish on their unique dance journeys. Ari & Simon are swing dance teachers, performers, and choreographers specializing in Lindy Hop and Authentic Jazz. They are deeply passionate about these dance forms—not just as movement, but as living traditions, rich in culture, values, and artistry. Dancing together since 2016, they are now based in Madrid, sharing their love for swing worldwide while also growing their online community through Patreon. Known for their energetic and rhythmical style, they thrive on the dynamic interplay between individual expression, musicality, and connection with a partner—turning every dance into a captivating conversation. Their talent and dedication have earned them titles at the International Lindy Hop Championships, the Savoy Cup, and the Korean Lindy Hop Championships, among many others. Whether in the classroom, on stage, or in competition, their passion for swing dance and its culture continues to evolve, inspire, and shine. We regret to share that Laura Glaess will no longer be able to join us for Boogie Down South this year—while we’ll miss her and know this will come as a disappointment to many, we completely respect her reasons. But with change comes opportunity, and we are BEYOND excited to welcome 🔥Dee Daniels Locke🔥 to our teaching lineup alongside AJ Howard! 🎉 Dee is not only an incredible dancer and educator but also a heritage dancer—she grew up learning Lindy Hop from her own family and is deeply connected to the roots of this dance.
