We are so happy to invite you to the 4th Annual Swingin’ Summer of Dance (SSOD) and our brand new Blues & Balboa Mondays (BBM)! We hope you can join us to receive unique, high-quality lessons to build your skills and enjoyment of dance during the summer.   SSOD Vision: – Continue to allow participation in dancing over the summer while building relationships & community – Offer stand alone classes that are non-progressive – attend when it fits your schedule with no fear of falling behind if you miss classes and no review from previous week(s)! – Lindy-centric & Lindy or Not with practice session to follow on Wednesdays (7:00-9:30pm) – NEW THIS YEAR is BBM on Mondays (6:30-7:30pm) – includes alternating weeks of Blues & Balboa dancing that reviews basics weekly and adds unique figures each week (PLUS get ready for our Blues & Bal Stew in September featuring international known instructor Daniel Repsch from Montreal teaching a 2 day workshop) – Many of your favourite and limited/not known teachers will share their own unique skills, techniques, figures, variations, vision, experiences, joy, passion, etc. – Each week I update you via email for the classes to be taught and the teachers leading them (email info@hepcatswing.com or contact Jeff to be added)   BBM Lesson Logistics: – Day = Monday nights – Time = 6:30-7:30pm – Dates = July 6 – Aug 24 SSOD Lesson Logistics: – Day = Wednesday nights – Time = 7:00-8:00pm Lindy-Centric            = 8:00-9:00pm Lindy or Not            = 9:00-9:30pm Practice – Dates = July 8 – Aug 26 This is 8 weeks and up to 24 classes!   Lesson Content: – Stand alone classes and not progressive from week to week  (students can miss classes and be fine to attend next class without falling behind) – Teachers have been offered an opportunity to develop & teach their own unique classes so expect a variety of voices to learn from BBM will alternate Blues and Balboa each week all summer >First 30 minutes will review basics, second 30 minutes will add new figures (build some repertoire, no need to review or connect with previous weeks) >Prerequisite = None (everything is beginner friendly) Lindy-Centric will be all Lindy Hop all classes all summer >Continue building on the most popular and most danced style within our community Lindy or Not will be a variety of swing dance styles (Lindy Hop and beyond!) >Not sure if you want to sign up for a full 6 week class of a style that you don’t know?
